Founder & Chair · Marchetti Atelier Group
Helena Marchetti is the founder and chair of Marchetti Atelier Group, a design practice working across architecture and objects. Her approach centres on restraint: considering which choices make a space or object more useful, rather than adding detail for its own sake. Trained as an architect, she also serves as a trustee of a European design foundation.
Her work offers a lens on the longer life of design. Materials, proportion, maintenance and the needs of people who use a place every day all matter beyond its first presentation. The question running through her practice is how to create work that remains relevant as those needs change.
