Théo Vauclair

Théo Vauclair is a second-generation craftsman and founder of Atelier Nord, a family workshop making goods intended to be kept and used over time. As a master craftsman, he works within a tradition in which knowledge is passed on through handling materials, practising techniques and judging the quality of a finished piece.

For a workshop with a history, continuity does not mean repeating every method unchanged. Decisions about construction, repairability and sourcing shape whether an object will endure. Vauclair’s work sits at that meeting point between inherited skills and the practical needs of a contemporary maker.
